817M40 is a kind of alloy structural steel,also known as alloy steel. It is made of high quality carbon structural steel and add one or more alloy element(the total content does not exceed 5%) appropriately. Surface Condition

This is a common surface treatment process,which increase the hardness and strength bu quenching and tempering.And then improve the dimension accuracy and surface smooth by rough turned and grinding.
This process combines quenching and tempering with cold drawing,to obtain a tighter dimensional tolerances and better surface smooth,and may be proceed with grinding process at the end.
In these processes,the material first need rough turned,grinding or cold drawing treatment,and then continue softening to facilitate the subsequent processing or forming.
Nitriding is a kind of surface treatment process,which will form a hard nitride layer on the surface of material,and improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the surface.
This is a electrolytic process which is improve its corrosion resistance and decoration by form a oxide scale on the metal surface.Although it is mainly used for aluminum,it can also used for the surface treatment of the steel materials.
Spraying is a method that apply a coating on the material surface,and can be used to improve the wear resistance,corrosion resistance or provide specific appearance of the material.
Electroplating is a coating a metal layer on the material surface, in order to improve its wear resistance, corrosion resistance or appearance. This method can be used for surface treatment of the steel materials.
Laser surface treatment technology can be used to harden,etch or clean the material surface to improve its properties or appearance.
